What Is All This Constant Doing Costing Us?

Everybody seems busy lately.

Busy learning. Busy growing. Busy building. Busy responding. Busy keeping up.

Somewhere along the way, constant doing has become a measure of worth. The more occupied we are, the more accomplished we appear. Busyness has become a pandemic.

But beneath all this movement, another reality exists.

People are mentally noisy. Emotionally stretched. Constantly “on”.

Not because they lack ambition, knowledge, or opportunity. If anything, most of us have access to more information, learning, and resources than ever before.

Yet constant motion leaves very little room to pause, reflect, and make sense of it all. And without that space, even success can begin to feel automatic rather than intentional.

Perhaps that is why coaching feels more relevant than ever today.

At its best, coaching does not offer more answers. It holds up a mirror to us and creates the conditions for better awareness. 

And sooner or later, many coaches and leaders find themselves asking:

How do I continue to grow, lead, and create impact… without losing connection with myself in the process?

Perhaps that is why the launch of Doing to Being feels especially timely.

This is a book that’s not a guide to answers or a manual on coaching techniques.

At its core lies a simple but powerful idea:

Clarity rarely begins when someone gives us answers. It begins when we create enough space to hear our own.

This year, Subash CV’s article, From Conditioning to Conscious Choice, was featured in Choice, one of the most respected publications in the coaching profession.

Drawing from Indic wisdom and the ICF Core Competencies, the article explores how greater awareness helps us move from automatic patterns to conscious choices — a theme that also sits at the heart of Doing to Being. 

What made this especially meaningful was not just the feature itself, but the growing openness of the global coaching community to perspectives rooted in Indic wisdom, reflection, and inner awareness. (You can read it here. )

At the ICF India Coaching Conclave: Coaching for 2030

The ICF India Coaching Conclave 2026 brought together coaches, leaders, and changemakers from across the country around a shared question: What will coaching need to look like in 2030?

As conversations unfolded around leadership, AI, coaching cultures, and the future of work, one thing became increasingly clear: leaders of tomorrow will need more than just expertise. They will need awareness, purpose, and the ability to create meaningful human connection.

It was also encouraging to see coaching being discussed not as a support function, but as a catalyst for leadership, culture, and meaningful change.

And amidst all these conversations, it was wonderful to see Doing to Being find its way into many hands, with coaches getting their copies signed and carrying the conversation forward long after the conclave ended.

Growing the Coaching Community

We welcomed 2 new ACC cohorts, one online and one offline, at Chennai and are about to commence a new PCC cohort soon in July. We take pride in bringing together learners from diverse professions, geographies and experiences.

What feels meaningful today is that many participants are not joining only for a credential. They are seeking new perspectives, stronger coaching skills, and richer conversations.

In a world full of quick answers, coaching continues to create space for deeper listening.
