‘White Coat Hypertension’
Heard about this yesterday. A syndrome whereby a patient’s feeling of anxiety in a medical environment results in an abnormally high reading when their blood pressure is measured. Doctors no longer wear the white coat (but stethoscope!). The fear is still triggered! For, it is the “environment” that triggers the emotion.
This awareness can help patients to make a choice & manage. #MakeChoice & work on it.
What other emotions (anger, sorrow, greed, desire, etc) are triggered in me by the environment. And what choice am I making?
