  • Learning style – Reading Habit

To learn & grow is a deep need within. #Reading  habit comes up during our coaching and mentoring sessions. For various reasons, most of us have left behind our love for books. While all of us would like to continue learning, we have also adopted different learning styles over the years. Sometimes we tend to romanticize the diversity too! Sometimes it becomes a belief. For example, ‘I can no longer read books like before’! And s/he is on a coaching or coach training program, “to maximize the personal and professional potential” (ICF definition of coaching). Many of these are relevant to me too. One book I started reading and finished during an international flight was this book, by Anita. A very powerful book on near-death experience and healing. It was just un-put-down-able! Usually, I would sleep during a long flight, watch one movie, and read a bit. That entire flight was just reading. This Facebook update came up for Nov 9, 2015. Some of these FB updates are good reminders of old experiences, that make our lives. This also reminds me I have not ready anything significant in this genre recently. What is your learning style? (Let’s not romanticize) What are you reading now? Have a great week ahead… https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12291050-dying-to-be-me?ac=1&from_search=true&qid=JNb9JWcpIR&rank=1

  • Mark Cuban on why he refuses to mentor people – Why hire a Coach?

He says why, and that is more important. (Disclosure: I mentor coaches, coach leaders – my views may be biased!) 1. Cuban views hiring a coach as a “shortcut,” he said : Sadly a lot of ‘coaching’ is not coaching. A lot of ‘coaches’ are not trained, certified, credentialed (ICF/EMCC), and are ‘helping’ people. Even many certified/credentialed coaches are helping. So what happens is actually consulting, mentoring, guiding, or telling. And that is NOT coaching. The moment the coach (or mentor) is prescriptive, the coachee does not get the maximum benefit, to be a # FullPotentialLeader . Coaching is for leaders including aspiring ones. Coaching is a marathon. No ‘shortcuts’ here. Any coach training that helps you with a sprint to certification is also not coaching. 2. “That’s not to say that mentors and coaches can’t be of value,” Cuban said. But overall Cuban thinks there is so much “hustle p*rn” and “coach p*rn” out there right now : Sad what opinion some big influencers have of the noble profession of coaching. But professional coaches have a responsibility to maintain the highest standards and stay within the (ICF) code of ethics. 3. “There are people telling you, ‘I’m going to make you rich’ and ‘I’ve got the solution’ and ‘I’ve got the answer,’ when they have never really done it themselves,” he added Yesterday a young, aspiring coach reached out to me. She wanted to quickly become a coach and ‘make a lot of money’ (as Viktor Frankl says in his popular B & W video). I said if you are looking for a sprint to becoming a coach (certification & credential included), and make a lot of money 💰 💴 💷 💶 💵 don’t choose to coach. Instead, make money elsewhere and come to this when you want to touch lives’. Coaching is about maximizing the personal and professional potential of the coachee. Period. As coaches, we are blessed to witness the transformational shift in our coachees/clients.

  • ICF Team Coaching

Team-Coaching-Competencies Coaching was mostly 1-1. We always did group coaching and team coaching. We have done team coaching for a leading bank in the middle east for their auto finance team, a leading hospital chain in India, an exporter in the food business, and a leading NGO in Bengaluru. Members of these groups had transformational shifts as a team and as individuals. Just as individuals make organizations, team coaching includes 1-1 coaching too. Maximizing team potential has to happen along with maximizing the personal & professional potential of individual members. – For more on ICF Team coaching, pls visit the attached doc. – To get Team Coaching by the best in the category, write to coaching@regalunlimited.com www.regalunlimited.com with Subash CV, MCC (ICF) & team, #RegalCoaches #TeamCoaching #icf #icfteamcoaching #coaching #coachtraining #icfcoach #leaderascoach #leadershipcoaching   https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6736844685421117440

  • What is common between Financial Planning and Professional Coaching in India?

Master says, ‘Intelligent people are those who learn from others’ mistakes! Corporate leaders & bosses (they both are different) reminds us to fail early, learn quickly and then don’t make mistakes 🙂 Financial independence is an important goal for all professionals. Those are usually SMART.  Life goals are not so SMART! Most often not PURE & CLEAR (courtesy Sir John Whitmore) And wealth is one important element of our total life.  Is there a need for quality financial planning in India? Absolutely yes. The unfortunate reality is that by the time we regret bad financial decisions, we equally wish we had the right guidance when we originally made those decisions. Financial decisions are important. It is still one (important) part of our lives. In coaching, we handle all aspects of life, career, health, wealth, relationship, etc., as all these are deeply inter-related For a country as huge as ours there are just around 1,400 Sebi – registered investment advisers and around 2,000 CFP professionals in India. ICF website shows there are less than 650 professional coaches in India.  Very clearly, we have a responsibility to our families and ourselves to take the right financial decisions, and it probably is not easy for us to do it all without, say, a financial coach, or a financial advisor. (a coach and an advisor are two different things. It helps the financial planners to add coaching to their work – every professional, corporate leader, and business owner will benefit from adding coaching to their work, and life.  For the same reason as above, everyone needs a professional coach The CFP credential is the most desired and respected global certification for those seeking to demonstrate their commitment to competent and ethical financial planning practice. The International Coaching Federation ( ICF ) is the leading global organization for coaches and coaching. ICF is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals. ICF member coaches are bound by the ICF code of ethics.   It helps to add coaching to your leadership, work & life. We offer a Leader-As-Coach/Regal Coach Certification (#RCC) program for corporate leaders, business owners, and professionals. Check out our other resources. • As I coach, I too get coached – Subramani Balakrishnan

It took me 3 years to come to a decision to go for a formal coach training and certification.  I have been coaching in my own way since 2014. Yet, I was not sure that I wanted to be a full-time coach or that I needed any training for that. I was drawn towards facilitation. I loved working with a bunch of people to arrive at a solution that worked for them. To adapt the methodologies and concepts to virtual space was a new challenge. That made me do a virtual facilitation course with Ajit Kamath, CPF.  Facilitation reminded me that It did not matter how much I knew, what mattered was how enriched the participants felt, at the end of the session. I became conscious that there was no need for me to showcase myself, all I needed was to follow the process and to keep the focus on the learners. A 5-week video making challenge with Sharat Sharma followed. I created videos, hosted Facebook live sessions and was also invited as panelist in webinars. Sharat pushed us to think beyond our limitations. He challenged us to aim higher. I learnt to give up the fear of being judged, and in turn to stop judging my clients. I also loved the concept of design thinking so I did a certification course through University of Sydney on Coursera. I started applying the principles to everything, even my presentations, and HR projects for some of the clients. Some sessions with a group of entrepreneurs in an Incubation center, opened my eyes to the immense potential of these concepts. I got enriched by the emphasis on empathy and the belief that the right answer must start with the right question. I finally decided to take the leap and joined the coach training run by Subash at Regal towards the end of 2020. One of the most immediate transformation for me has been my listening. As someone working with senior professionals, I had been a good listener. However, Coaching helped me push it up many notches. Conversations came naturally to me, and coaching helped me become more present. When working with my team, I am looking to help them get answers. In my personal space, journaling and reflection have helped me handle stressful situations with more poise. It all came together when one of the Mentor Coach, Rekha, asked the question- " Think about how coaching is transforming you”. Little did I know that over the years, I was being prepared to become a coach. I realized that as I was coaching others, I was being coached too.

  • Coach and Coachee: My Journey of Two Perspective- Swaraj Mishra

When I embarked my journey as a learner coach, I also started a parallel journey: as a coachee or a client in peer coaching. To me it seems like a story of two co travelers, while one was driving the car, the other was setting the destination…. As the journey progressed, the driver and the passenger experienced something different… At first, the driver and passenger within me started the internal dialogue…. The driver thought, “I need to drive and I will ensure that the destination is reached in time” The passenger thought, “I will tell the driver the destination and my job will be over after that…. It is the driver’s responsibility to take me to my destination” And here the learning started. After we covered some distance, the driver within me started seeing the value of the passenger and viceversa. It was a matter of time to understand that just agreeing to set the destination was not goodenough, there was a need for both to see from each other’s point to make the journey meaningful. Thus came the first learning: perspective. I realized that just the direction was not enough. Thepassenger within me started realizing that the driver going merely towards the destination would notbring the desired outcome. It has to be a journey shared between both…. understanding the route andthe surroundings was as important as the destination. The passenger has the desire to achievesomething, overcome something and explore something. These need to be addressed and the driverneeds to go towards the destination while resolving these. I started seeing things from a new angle. As the passenger and driver started exploring more and started sharing their perspectives, came thesecond learning: clarity. This clarity worked as fog lenses for me. With these new fog lenses the roadbecame much clearer and I started seeing new awareness – both about the destination as well as thejourney. This new awareness made the road less bumpy. The passenger in me started seeing value and the driverleveraged this to avoid obstacles. The journey started feeling like something different and theyacknowledged the value each one brought. This brought my next learning: empathy. As the passengerbecame more aware, the driver became more proficient. With this perspective, clarity and empathy, the surroundings started feeling better and the journeymuch smoother…. Reaching the destination was no more under pressure. The driver understood thepassenger… the wants and needs, the words said and unsaid, the emotions and expressions. They nolonger felt as two different people travelling in the vehicle, it seemed like a new unity and much better collaboration. Moving back to the roles of a coach I started feeling the questions getting better… as I would have probably liked to receive as a client. The sessions eased into conversations… it became easier to slide into these dialogues. Exploration started feeling natural, probably I started seeing more from the client’s angle. And the familiar feeling of the “click” when things fall in place…. I still have a long way to go in my coaching journey and a lot of learning yet to come. However, I havemade up my mind… I will continue this journey together as a coach and a client to evolve as a goodcoach as I continue to evolve as a good coachee….

  • Mental Health – The Spiritual Marketplace by Devdutt Pattanaik

Interesting article – under #MentalWellness in ET. Mental wellness is more needed than the covid vaccine. But we are being ostrich-like when it comes to mental wellness. The impact of covid at levels beyond the physical, mental and emotional, and thus also spiritual, is still materializing… taking shape. No one has any idea how it will manifest, as we all are rightly too busy with fighting the physical impact of covid.  As yoga says, there are five levels of existence. Annamaya Kosa to Anandamaya Kosa . We ignore at our own peril! Demand & supply will somehow find a marketplace. Just as e-commerce found its sweet spot. ‘We are conditioned to see commerce as incompatible with spirituality’ – the conflict between Goddesses Lakshmi (wealth) and Saraswathi (knowledge) is deep. It manifests in the inability of the professional to price himself/herself appropriately, though s/he is a ‘pro’, earning his bread, butter & jam from the profession. The profession may be spiritual (healing), or not (psychotherapy)! Isn’t everything spiritual?. ‘As such is spirituality is just an exotic word for positive psychology?’ Psychologists may have a problem with that.  Incidentally, I got a message from one of the spiritual organizations where they are selling a particular spiritual item at a discount. Additional discounts are available for multiple units 🙂 That is an interesting coincidence! (For me, nothing is a coincidence). ‘The demand is huge for such spiritual performers’. I discourage any aspiring coach from entering the coaching profession for the pure “business” opportunity (over 2 bn USD per annum, according to one estimate). Heartbroken lovers/couples, aspiring CEOs/CXOs, struggling CEOs, mid-life/quarter-life/old age crisis (empty nest syndrome), homemakers/women leaders… all are in search of their own IKIGAI.  ‘The Guru offers products and services’: The real guru offers nothing. S/He is merely a mirror. We coaches & mentor-coaches take inspiration from them. The mirror is one of the best metaphors for a real coach. A guru merely supports the follower in his/her journey. And that guru is above father and mother, as the love of parents is not really unconditional. But a real guru’s is. And a guru is not for just this birth, as it is in the case of parents. Guru is through multiple births till the end with the jivatma’s journey.  ‘If you want to be like me I will help you, knowing that we are alike. If you want to be different, I will wait until you change your mind’ – ‘A Course in Miracles’ quotes Jesus as saying – courtesy ‘Inspiration’ by  Dr. Wayne W. Dyer Beyond all these, these are challenging times. Mental health needs as much focus as physical health. Immunity, social distancing, vaccination, et al. When will we take responsibility for our mental wellness? #RegalAt60, #Beyond IKIGAI Coaching, mentoring, and healing at  https://regalunlimited.com/

  • 7 Tips for Effective Leadership Strategies

Drive your team to success with Leadership Coaching Some people seem to build great products, companies, and businesses; seeing those people makes us feel that they were fortunate to head the right team. Coming by the right team seems to be elusive in our endeavors. But what people often miss is that one never comes by a good team; instead, it is built by effective leadership strategies. Executive & Leadership Coaching programs are available in all major cities in India, including Bengaluru and Mumbai. They conduct virtual sessions as well. Leadership strategies address three aspects of a team working towards a goal, namely: the head/leader of the team,  the individuals in the team, and  the environment.  7 Tips for Effective Leadership Strategies When all the three aspects mentioned above are at their best, the team succeeds, and people notice their achievements. We list here seven tips for effective leadership strategies to help a team succeed: 1. Be an Inspiring Leader: The strength of a team is the leader, and, typically, the team members look up to the leader. It is crucial to realize this responsibility and behave accordingly. Your posture and confidence affect your team; maintaining a positive attitude is vital to keep the team spirit high. Also, a leader should walk the talk; only then can you command the team members’ respect and inspire them. Inconsistent behavior inconsistently degrades the team into people who talk behind the back and lack respect for the leader.  2. Effective communication: Even the most efficient people who are working very hard can fail if they work at cross purposes without a clear understanding of the goal. The leader should convey a clear, unambiguous vision that does not frequently change to the team. This goes a long way to assist the team members in maintaining their orientation towards a single goal even though their tasks may differ. Professional help in the form of Leadership coaching solutions  exists to help you improve your communication skills. 3. Delegate responsibility and appreciate the effort: It is not feasible to be an expert at all the tasks required by the organization; also, you often do not have the time to do all the tasks yourself. You can tell people what should be done and assign them specific duties; however, giving them a problem and asking them to come up with a solution takes their engagement to a much higher level. Therefore delegate responsibility to members of the team after identifying people with the right expertise. Remember to appreciate team members when they perform their tasks well, as it helps to motivate them to keep up the excellent effort. Lack of recognition for work done is the most frequent reason people lose their motivation to keep up their excellent work. 4. Listen to the team members: While it is important to communicate one’s vision clearly to the team, it is also essential to listen to team members to create an environment where they feel valued. Listening also makes one aware of the team effort’s challenges before it translates to failure and allows one to correct course and succeed. 5. Build a fearless culture:  Fear of being reprimanded often makes people not report developing situations, leading to failure, and precious time is lost. It is crucial to adopt a positive attitude towards mistakes. We do not live in a perfect world, making allowances for errors and creating an environment where mistakes can be surfaced and corrected without punishment. Leadership Coaching  enables this and significantly builds team spirit as people are more focused on success than ways to avoid blame if there should be a failure. 6. Remain agile and flexible: Remember that all rules are there to help people perform their best. When situations arise that are not considerate to people, re-evaluate the practices. Keeping an open mind to change makes one quick to adapt. Being agile reduced the room for regrets of not acting in time. 7. Constantly learn and share skills:   Smartness can lead to success occasionally, but wisdom leads to consistent success. One cannot gain wisdom by attending courses; instead, it is a lifelong attempt to acquire it from people better than you and sharing what you learned with people who are willing to learn and benefit from it. Each individual can be encouraged to excel and grow by fostering an environment of learning in a team. This greatly improves the ability of a team to succeed repeatedly. Products and businesses are not built by a single individual doing all the work instead of working together effectively towards a common goal. Building a great team is not automatic to a person’s nature but learned over time by interacting with people and developing leadership strategies. We have opportunities to take up leadership coaching programs in Bengaluru and Mumbai , where an experienced coach helps us hone our team-building skills by sharing their expertise and guiding our effort of driving our team to success.  Regal Unlimited has recently begun an exclusive program to equip aspiring leaders with the coaching mindset, which goes beyond the traditional mindset of ‘command-control.’ A new online batch for Leaders as Coaches program began from 31st March. The first of its kind program in Leadership Coaching delivering ICF based curriculum through a virtual medium.  Coaching is the future of Leadership, and if Coaching is not incorporated in the leadership style, then it is not leading. We are the coaching school for the world, and leaders from organizations across the boundaries are being benefited.  For more info on the Leaders as Coaches program please visit regalunlimited.com or write to info@regalunlimited.com

  • How HR Professionals & HR Leaders can benefit from becoming an ICF Coach

Manas K. was an HR leader heading the L&D division in a reputed conglomerate based out of Mumbai. After 18 years in the field, Manas felt his professional peak had leveled. He wished to add more value to his resume and do something more impactful in his area of expertise.  Manas spoke to other HR professionals and peers in the field and read up on current and future trends in HR.  Based on his research Manas decided the next best thing to do as an HR professional was to become an ICF coach. Manas is only one of numerous HR professionals, HR leaders, and OD trainers who have been looking to enhance their portfolios and expand their repertoire by becoming ICF-certified coaches. Why are Manas and other HR leaders like him increasingly pivoting to ICF coaching certification? We decided to find out from a few of the HR professionals and HR leaders who were part of our ICF coaching program. These HR professionals and leaders have on average a minimum of 15 years of experience in the industry. We asked them the following questions – What inspired you to become an ICF coach despite being proficient in the HR domain?  How has becoming an ICF coach benefitted you personally and professionally? Here’s what they had to say. ICF coaching certification gives credibility. “I have seen coaching from close quarters long before I became a coach. I saw coaches at work, and transformation taking place. That made me feel that this is a skill every people manager and every HR leader should have. “ICF is a highly respected brand. Credentials from ICF have great value and respect which have helped me position myself. Also, the inherent competencies that we learned and practiced have helped me elevate my level of conversation.”  Swaraj Mishra Enhance leadership skills I got into ICF coaching to become a more impactful HR leader. The ICF coaching process and certification certainly help one become a more impactful leader by understanding oneself, others, and the professional ecosystem better, from a much wider perspective.” Debi Prasad Das Improve EQ “Coaching is actually part of our HR role, which we haven’t understood yet. HR is not just about creating and implementing policies, but touching people’s lives. I took up the ICF coaching program to explore the possibility of partnering in the development of individuals towards their goals. ICF coaching is certainly a process which will help in this objective.”  Natarajan B Excel in HR role “I have always wanted the HR department to excel in developing partnerships between the higher management and employees by creating a shared understanding. Also, I have felt that employees must feel free to speak to HR. ICF Coaching has helped me in achieving these objectives. I have been able to create a genuinely motivating climate for performance and support within my business domain and outside. ICF Coaching has enabled me to build self-belief, self-awareness, and empathy among leaders. Non-performers regained confidence and their performance improved through my coaching.  I empowered employees to visualize their professional development within the organization. This helped maintain employee engagement and reduced attrition. Work with high-rung leaders and executives “I took up ICF coaching because I saw it start conversations that impacted people to think and act differently. ICF coaching competency can be a big plus for HR professionals who are working closely with managers and leaders in an organization.” Professionally, ICF coaching was a huge add-on to my credibility in creating an impact on high-performing leaders and enabling them to make better decisions in their roles. ICF coaching helped me, an HR leader, look at things from different perspectives, which helped me in engaging people with empathy and care.” As an ICF coach, I am able to engage with leaders in a way that contributes to their growth and the organization’s growth. Impactful combination results in a systemic level change to create a win-win for both the HR leader and the organization. Ashwini Karumbaiah Self-development “ I decided to become an ICF coach because of the increasing necessity to work with senior BU leaders and partner with them in realizing their personal and professional potential.  The ICF coaching program has made me more self-aware.  My listening skills have developed, especially the quality of listening with an intent to listen. The ICF coaching process has enabled me to be in the present, every moment. In fact,  becoming an ICF coach has helped me maximize my potential.” A V Sivaram And that was the lowdown regarding HR professionals and ICF coaching, right from the HR leader’s mouth! Before they signed off,  we asked our new ICF coaches to leave one message for their peers- other HR professionals, HR leaders, and OD trainers who aspire to be ICF coaches.  __________________________________________________ What advice would you offer to aspiring HR Leaders and professionals regarding ICF Coaching? This is what they had to say. “When we look at ICF coaching as HR professionals, we should see it as a complementary skill – Swaraj Mishra “ICF coaching is a must-have competency for HR professionals. We as HR professionals can add value and bring the best out of people, especially in this era of disruptions.” – A. V. Sivaram “Become an ICF coach. It’s a life-changing experience!!!”  – Bijoy Francis People are the prime movers in an organization. So HR professionals must set aside their own agenda and be fully present with stakeholders to support them. Coaching helps achieve this.  – Saswati Basu It’s a great feather in your cap as it helps in managing people really well – Payel Go through coach training as it helps you to develop the ability to reflect and understand yourself better. – Debi Prasad Das . An HR professional who is also an ICF coach can be a game changer and is well positioned to act as a catalyst in an organization. – Ashwini Karumbaiah ICF coaching is a necessary skill for self-development and the development  of people working in your  organization – Mitalee __________________________________________________ Few more reasons why HR professionals/HR leaders/OD trainers should go  for ICF coaching You heard from these HR leaders why they think HR professionals should become ICF coaches.  We are giving you a few more reasons why ICF coaching competency should definitely become a part of your skill set. 1. Remaining relevant in your profession According to The State of the Global Workplace: 2022 Report by Gallup, catering to the holistic well-being of employees will become an important necessity for businesses in the near future. The onus of this will, naturally, rest upon HR. A holistic welfare approach means  HR professionals must look beyond mere performance and work on employees’ potential. ICF coaching is the best tool for that. __________________________________________________ 2. Millennials want to work with coaches, not with bosses! Another major change HR professionals must prepare for is working with the millennials. This generation of workers does not conform to the command and control model, where implicit obedience is the norm. Telling someone to do something might still work for entry-level employees. But those higher up would perform best if HR professionals acted as accountability partners, a role ICF coaches excel at. To sum it up, millennials do not need trainers, they need coaches who can partner for their growth. HR professionals doubling as coaches can play this role to perfection! __________________________________________________ 3. Access to diverse people management tactics ICF coaching provides HR professionals and OD trainers with diverse ways to manage employees, allowing for a more customized approach based on what is most effective for a particular employee. This will play a major role in the holistic approach to employee welfare.  The above trends in the global workplace stress overwhelmingly the need for professional ICF coaches, a need HR professionals and OD trainers can capitalize on.  That is why coaching is considered the next natural, logical step in the professional growth of HR professionals/HR executives/OD trainers.  In fact, coaching completes the HR professional/HR executive/OD trainer. __________________________________________________ Why opt for ICF coaching with Regal Unlimited? • How to Start a Life Coaching Business?

I absolutely believe that people, unless coached, never reach their maximum capabilities.” – Bob Nardelli Research on the Coaching Landscape of India proves that the most pursued niche in Professional Coaching is Life Coach. People want to become certified life coaches . But the sore spot is setting up a business of life coaching in a systematic way.  We invited Vijay Rashali – an ICF learner coach (pursuing her ICF Credentials ) to share her thoughts on starting a life coaching business. She greatly describes various nuances of the life coaching business & being a life coach as well.  Why Become a Life Coach? “I want to become a life coach; can you suggest to me how?” this was a question asked by a friend who noticed my profession through social media networks. My first question was, “Why do you want to become a Life Coach?” All of us have a “WHY ” – why we do what we do.  Your “Why” is the inspiration, purpose or belief that drives you to action. These are some of the whys that came out of our exploration:  1. You can work on your terms and be your own boss  2. People have always come to you for support and solutions, and you feel a sense of content helping them  3. Life Coaching aligns with your inner values  4. You desire financial freedom & flexibility in work  5. Life coaching provides deeper meaning and fulfilment  When the above 5 criteria transpire into an individual’s life goals, they step into a Life Coaching career.  What Is Life Coaching? Every individual is filled with infinite potential – some are evident, and some are invisible or unnoticed. A life coach is a professionally trained personnel , who is competent with the necessary tools to help you bring forth your full potential and accomplish your desired goals.  ● They are a trusted partner who understands your privacy and listens to your fears, doubts, and self-limiting patterns ● They understand your beliefs, aspirations, dreams, and desires without judging your intentions ● They help you ass ess and analyze – where you are and where you want to be and support you to take actions you’ve been putting off for a lifetime ● A life coach partners to facilitate your awareness by asking the right questions and bridging the gaps – helping you in building meaningful relationships, health, wealth, and fulfilment in your life. ● Unlike therapy or counselling, life coaching doesn’t work on past issues or traumas – it systematically works on your present and future goals  ● A life coach is a lighthouse that only helps you get a sense of guidance in the chaos and immensity As Eric Schmidt, a firm believer in coaching & former CEO of Google (now Alphabet) once opined about coaching: Who Can Benefit From Life Coaching? Let me explain this through a joke:  The number one criterion to leverage in coaching is – Coaching is for those who know that there is something that is not working. They realize that it is not enough to wait and rely on strategies that are not accelerating them toward their goals, because they’ve understood that, the same actions equal the same results. Here are some questions you must ask yourself for a readiness check:  Mindset: ● What is the Clarity I need for my business goals – do I want to be a hobbyist business owner (who primarily enjoys coaching, but doesn’t think of money) Or do I want to be a Profitable business owner (clear financial goals)  ● Do I have the courage to jump in – “Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will” Whether you left your comfortable steady income, or you always wanted to help people around you, stepping into a career which is a lonely journey of uncertainty, demands a great amount of courage in what you truly believe and want to do ● Do I have the Conviction that I can be a successful life coach – After all the sleepless nights and excitement of how you can add profound value to people’s lives, does self-doubt creep in and you think, whether you can really succeed?    Skillset ● Am I currently “trained” enough to be a Life coach? – What additional learning do I need to become a life coach? ● What parts of my life need growth and development to become a successful Life Coach? ● Do I have all the required skills to be an effective entrepreneur, marketer, salesperson, networker, accountant, techie, creative, ethical and leader?   ● Am I willing to spend the necessary time, energy, and money in improving the above attributes, if so do I have a roadmap for that? Toolset ●Do I have the required credibility as a Life Coach? My credentials, qualifications, and experience. Why should potential clients trust me? ● What are the best resources/certifications that will add value to my credibility as a coach?  ● Additionally, some more parameters that are an important aspect of the life coaching business are:  ●  Define your business model  ● Define your coaching niche ● Plan your life coaching services, prices, and logistics – when where and how ● Automate and scale your marketing & sales and build your digital presence ● What are your strategies for consistent and predictable business  ● How will you do your R&D – find new ways to add/upgrade your skills in all areas of business  ● How will you track your customer’s happiness, and feedback and make continuous improvements?  How to Get a Life Coach Certification?
