- Regal Global Webinar on the Coach as Leader by Leon Vanderpol
Topics covered in the webinar Leader As a Coach Organization Evolution Leadership styles Summary Discussion Brief Summary of the Webinar Regal Unlimited in association with Leon VanderPol hosted a global webinar on Leader as a Coach where Vanderpol talks in depth how Coaches can achieve Transformational Leadership. Leon Vanderpol is the founder of Centre for Transformational Coaching and has a rich experience in Deep Coaching. He is particularly passionate about human transformation, self-actualization and advancement. Vanderpol has trained many people across the world in Deep Coaching and Transformative Growth process. This webinar will surely leave you energized to move forward in your transformational journey. In this webinar Vanderpol talks passionately about how we can create workspaces where everyone feels “powered, belonged and engaged and where every opinion matters”. He talks at length how leadership can be transformational in its truest sense and how leaders can be Coaches. Vanderpol talks about how deeply he was influenced by the book: Reinventing Organizations — A Guide to Creating Organizations Inspired by Next Stage of Human Consciousness by Frederic Laloux . The organizations have been colour coded from Red to Teal as per their style of functioning in terms of leadership where Red stands for organizations which are autocratic in their leadership styles and Teal stands at the other spectrum where organizations are empathetic, where people matter and are truly evolutionary in nature. Teal organizations represent a shift in consciousness and Vanderpol discusses in the webinar how organizations can work towards becoming Teal Organizations. For any organization to become Teal they need to create an ecosystem of Teal leaders. He also talks about the Coaching continuum i.e. the three types of Coaching styles — Transactional, Developmental and Transformational. Transformational Coach is one who is truly evolved in every aspect of the word and deeply connected to his/her inner being. For a Coach to be truly evolved he/she needs to peel off the layers of the persona created around themselves to connect to their true Self. Transformational Coaches embody higher consciousness and Teal leaders Vanderpol says can create soulful workplaces which work with passion and purpose.

Brief Summary of the Webinar This global webinar by Ruchira Chaudhary, a leading executive Coach draws focus on the importance of being a leader as a coach to empower, elevate and help others shine bright leaving the leadershine brighter too. Ruchira’s book Coaching: The Secret Code to Uncommon Leadership by Ruchira Chaudhary actively picks examples from sports, businesses and individuals to highlight how leaders need to imbibe the Coaching mindset to help them not only nurture the next line of leaders but also become great leaders for their organizations. In this webinar hosted by Regal Unlimited, Ruchira mentions that it’s not always important for the Coach to know all the answers. It is in fact the ability to question to elicit answers or partner with the client/teams to be able to arrive at an answer, that differentiates an extra ordinary leader-coach She drives home the point how Coaching can help one to be a better version of themselves. Her book, she says is essentially not a book on leadership but the journey of a leader from being a leader to a leader- coach . Coaching, she says, has the power of not only elevating the Self but also helps in maximizing the success of others. She says that she did not know what Coaching was all about when she embarked on this journey. She also mentions how Coaching is hard work and in order to become one, one should earnestly have the will to change. An extremely interactive webinar, Ruchira points out that one cannot become a great leader without being a Coach. It is very important for a leader to recognize and accept that he/she does not have all the answers and be willing to seek them externally. She also highlights how when organizations embed a culture of Coaching in their leaders, it sure is bound to have a top down effect. She elaborates on how the 4C model (Clarity, Consciousness, Capability and Confidence) can unleash human potential within Organizations. Ruchira also answers questions on different aspects of Coaching and what it can do for the leaders as well as for the organizations. She wraps up the webinarby saying how Coaching is all about being present in the moment and also being available, understand the reality and bring out the best either in self, individuals or teams.

- Regal Unlimited’s Webinar on Resilience During A Time of Change
Topics covered in the webinar Definition of Resilience Social and Emotional Intelligence The Four quadrants of EQ to manage awareness 26 Competencies of Emotional Intelligence Healthy relationship with Self Overcoming guilt Self awareness The emotional side to Change How do you care for physical well-being, Spiritual well-being and Mental well-being Brief Summary of the Webinar Regal Unlimited’s webinar on Resilience During A Time Of Change highlights the importance of building resilience especially during the present times by drawing on the strength of our inner-self. Cathy Mott in this Webinar outlines the many ways to build resilience and focuses on building Emotional Intelligence. Cathy Mott is a PCC, an executive coach helping Organizations create better leaders and a published author. The webinar is extremely invigorating as she draws examples from her own personal life on how to bounce back in spite of many hiccups life might throw at you. Mott patiently guides the participants to traverse the path to self-discovery to recognise the importance of self-care and build a resilient self which can bear positive impacts on one’s social relationships. She says, resilience is the ability to bounce back, resume a normal shape or sometimes perhaps create a new norm. She emphasizes the need to tap into our personal power in order to bounce back. Mott also mentions that each of us has the ability to be strong and buoyant. She makes a mention of Daniel Coleman where he states that Emotional Quotient is four times more important for success than intelligence quotient. Cott says that IQ is what gets you hired while EQ is what gets you promoted. She says it’s very important to give a name to our emotions, validate them, accept the same and learn to navigate them. It is very important to respond rather than react to our emotions. When you validate your emotion, it lessens the intensity and helps us to manage it well which can have a ripple effect in the sensewe will be able to have better social interactions. Mott also discusses in detail the four quadrants of Emotional Intelligence — Self Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness and Relationship management. When we are aware of our Self, we are able to manage ourselves better, which can result in empathizing with others and help us manage our relationships better too. She mentions that body language constitutes 55% of human communication. Therefore, she says how important it is to recognise this to help us build bonds. She says how self care is extremely important on the road to becoming resilient. She also says that one need not feel guilty to indulge in self care. Self care she says helps you in coming face to face with yourself, helps you experience a wide range of emotions and work through them. She also mentions that it is crucial to have a great relationship with self as it creates space to listen to our own Self. She says there is more happiness in giving than receiving when our cup/bucket is full. Lastly Cathy Mott also mentions the 4 components which constitute individual well-being and the many ways to fill these buckets to build resilience.
- Building the Phoenix Mindset by Prof Paddy Padmanabhan
Topics covered in the webinar Introduction: Paddy Padmanabhan What is Phoenix Mindset Why CEOs need Phoenix Mindset How leaders disrupt their own organizations using Phoenix Mindset Q&A with Paddy Padmanabhan How Coaching can pivot the mindset of CEOs How leaders are made using Coaching Brief Summary of the Webinar Regal Unlimited invited Prof Paddy Padmanabhan, a distinguished INSEAD Professor and co-author of the book, “The Phoenix Encounter Method” for an interactive webinar on decoding the nuances of the phoenix mindset. The topic gains extreme relevance and significance in these unprecedented times where the relentless waves of CHANGE are testing organizational leadership. From the Global recession to the Great Resignation & other variants thereof, the organizational ecosystem is being negatively disrupted. The phoenix mindset has ‘urgency of doing’ at the heart of its framework. It is no surprise that legacy firms are equally vulnerable to becoming obsolete, being outrun by competitors, and being disrupted by nimble startups from seemingly unrelated industries, thanks to the amorphous industrial boundaries. In such times, the Phoenix Encounter Method becomes an eye-opener (a tool of resurrection). In the webinar, Paddy delves at length on the framework, its use cases, its procedures and its application to various organizations. The basic premise is concerned with asking powerful questions (objective confrontation and provocation) to the senior leaders, and one such question which Paddy mentioned was, “ Can you list out three things which you can do to completely destroy your OWN business? (resources being abundant)” Kill your own business before the competitor does it because “Somewhere, someone is working on a product that can make your product obsolete.” Paddy then shared a few tips on developing a phoenix mindset. He sprinkled the session by giving amusing real-life examples of organizations and leaders who have successfully transitioned and adopted the ‘Phoenix Mindset’, truly they have gone through “a veritable firestorm of change to be re-born.”
- Webinar With Janet Harvey : ICF Team Coach
Topics covered in the webinar Why Teams and Individuals matter? Anatomy of Team Coaching Engagements. Difference between a Coach and a Facilitator Team Coaching outcome : Foster autonomy Defining Generative Team Coaching Role & Principles of team coaching Brief Summary of the Webinar Janet Harvey is a renowned Coach, a Visionary, an author and an eloquent Speaker. She awakens the leader within and helps people delve deep to lead wholesome lives. She chooses to term Team Coaching as 1 to Many (1:Many). She begins the webinar by telling us she started to coach Teams at a time when Coaching was beginning to differentiate itself from Mentoring, Training or Change Management interventions. Janet emphasizes that the emotional and social intelligence of the teams are extremely important and it cannot be ignored for teams to perform in synergy with the organizational goals. She explains in detail why teams and individuals matter within Organizations. Janet says that it is the prerogative of the Coaches to help teams operate in safe and secure spaces. It should be the Coach’s endeavour to know what keeps the teams motivated and how often they get into those moments of motivation. She also talks of the anatomy of team coaching engagements in detail. She says these engagements nurture the teams besides helping them to realize the purpose of their existence. It is also the responsibility of the leaders to keep the teams nourished and free from skepticism. In this webinar, Janet draws out the differences between a Coach and a facilitator. A Team Coach uses powerful questioning to help teams become aware of the choices teams make. She says that the outcome of team Coaching must foster autonomy. In an effective team interaction there is a level playing field and hierarchy is softened. Once a team has attained autonomy it is ready to take on the responsibility of taking action. As Coaches we are opening clients to many possibilities through the power of questioning. This probably can disrupt certain habits but can infuse action to realize the shared purpose of the organization. The webinar takes you through the entire gamut of team coaching and the outcomes for organizations.

- Good to Great – The Journey of an Agile Coach
Who is an Agile Coach? Why is ICF coaching an indispensable aspect of Agile Leaders? How can one go from being a Good Agile Coach to a Great Agile Coach? Ginu Samuel , an Agile Coach who is currently pursuing his ICF Coach Training & Certification, demystifies these important, relevant queries for the benefit of Agile Enthusiasts and Scrum Masters as he recounts the experiences and learnings from his ICF coaching journey. Let’s hear from him! Will I be a good coach? During my initial years on the Agile coaching journey, I invested a lot in reading. “Coaching Agile Teams” by Lisa Adkins was one of many books I read then. ‘Will I be a good coach?’, the title of the very first chapter, hooked my attention. I have been constantly curious about what makes a good Agile coach ever since. Adkins also asks pertinent questions such as ‘What is an Agile coach’s role in self-organized teams?’, ‘How do I, as an Agile coach, help my team and yet stay hands-off? ICF-approved professional coaching provided me with satisfactory answers to all these questions. What does Agile Coaching Involve? In the context of agile teams, coaching takes on the dual flavor of coaching and mentoring. Yes, you are coaching to help someone reach their next goal in their life. In addition, you are also sharing your agile experiences and ideas as you mentor them or guide them to implement agility. Coaching and mentoring have been entwined to develop talented agilists who can enhance their performances and thus maximize business results. The 4 stances of Agile Coaching Lisa Adkins, together with Michael Spayd, introduces a simple agile coaching framework all Agile coaches can follow. In the framework, they talk about four different stances an agile coach should use. Teaching, Mentoring, Facilitating, and Professional Coaching. Agile coaching is a combination of coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitating. Many agile coaches have experience and knowledge of working in the area where they’re helping teams/individuals. As a result, there is a high chance of using the mentoring and teaching stances more when people are stuck. Agile coaches who lack ICF coaching skills tend to give more importance to other stances. This is a huge disadvantage, for professional coaching is the most important of all the four stances. ICF-approved professional coaching – the most important stance Transformation involves a change in mindset, culture, process, structure, or ways of working. It is very common that people can get stuck on this journey towards excellence. Professional coaching is an excellent tool to help Agile enthusiasts to unlock blockers and transition towards a new world of agility. An agile coach with ICF-approved professional coaching expertise can partner with individuals, teams, and organizations in this transformation journey. ICF Coaching – setting apart the Great from the Good The word “Coach” in the title “Agile Coach” comes from the professional coaching stance. All great Agile coaches have professional coaching in their toolbox. Through ICF coaching, Agile coaches master key coaching competencies such as active listening, asking powerful questions, and creating self-awareness. Agile coaches who have sharpened these coaching skills progress from being good Agile coaches to great ones. ICF coaching certification strengthens agile coaches in the other three stances. An Agile coach can teach, train, and facilitate more effectively using ICF coaching techniques such as asking powerful questions and making people think. These are the reasons why I feel professional coaching is a powerful skill in the Agile coach’s toolbox. In fact, professional coaching is a necessary competency for an agile coach. My ICF coaching journey with Regal Unlimited Last year I decided to sharpen my coaching skills and transform myself into a great coach. I enrolled for the ICF-ACC coaching certification with my coaching mentor Subash CV , Master Certified Coach, and founder of Regal Unlimited. The first year was a tremendous journey of unlearning old behaviors and learning new skills. We had rigorous coaching practice sessions, illuminating mentoring sessions, and other interesting, insightful activities such as book reviews. All these propelled me toward my goal of becoming a great Agile coach. Subash CV and the coaching community at Regal Unlimited have been strong pillars of support in this transformation. ICF coaching certification has helped me improve my listening skills, self-awareness, and coaching competencies. I would highly recommend Agile coaches and Scrum Masters to take up the ICF coaching course and accelerate their journey from being Good to Great. - How Coaching Helps Leaders Navigate Conflict and Change
Conflict and change – they are not occasional disruptions – they are constant companions of leadership. Conflict shows up in team disagreements, clashing priorities, or even quiet tensions, no one voices. Change arrives through reorganizations, market shifts, or the sudden need to adapt to new technologies. Leaders are expected to navigate all this smoothly. Yet many discover that the biggest challenge is not what is happening around them, but how they respond. Coaching doesn’t offer scripts or formulas. Instead, it helps leaders pause, reflect, and find clarity in the midst of complexity. Coaching as a Way of Seeing Conflict and change don’t vanish because of coaching. But leaders begin to see them differently. Conflict becomes information, not an attack. Change becomes a process of renewal, not just disruption. This shift in perspective doesn’t just help leaders cope – it helps them lead with steadiness and humanity. Hence, organizations today are increasingly turning to Executive Coaching to help their leaders develop the vision leaders today must have. Conflict: From Tension to Understanding Imagine a leadership team debating budget allocations. One group argues for investing in innovation; another insists on strengthening existing operations. At first, it looks like a power struggle. But underneath, it’s a clash of priorities: the future versus the present. A leader who has experienced Executive Coaching would respond with curiosity – “What values are driving these views?” “What risks do we take if we ignore either side?” By asking rather than dictating, conflict becomes a source of insight. The Upanishads capture this spirit beautifully: “ Ekam Sat, Vipra bahuda vadanti ” – Truth is one; the wise express it in many ways. Disagreement, when explored with openness, often reveals multiple paths to the same truth. Change: From Resistance to Renewal Now, picture an organization going through a merger. Teams suddenly expand, cultures collide, and processes change overnight. The immediate instinct for many leaders is to assert control — to show confidence, even if they don’t feel it. But people can sense the gap between words and reality. Instead of reassurance, it breeds mistrust. A coached leader learns a different approach. They acknowledge the uncertainty: “We don’t have all the answers yet, but we will figure this out together.” That simple honesty creates trust. It signals safety in the storm. Coaching doesn’t stop the winds of change. It teaches leaders to adjust their sails, so the journey becomes manageable – even meaningful. Why Coaching Works Leaders already attend workshops and leadership programs. So what makes coaching different? It’s personal: Coaching addresses your conflicts and your changes, not abstract case studies. It’s reflective: Instead of providing answers, coaching asks questions that unlock new thinking. It’s lasting: Once leaders learn to replace judgment with curiosity, they carry it into every conversation. You don’t learn new techniques, you learn how not to lose yourself in the middle of conflict and chaos. Why Leaders Should Look at Becoming Coaches It’s not just that leaders benefit from being coached. Increasingly, the best leaders become coaches themselves. Think about it: leadership is no longer about having all the answers. In complex, fast-changing environments, answers quickly become outdated. What endures is the ability to ask better questions, listen deeply, and create space where others can think and grow. That’s exactly what coaching is. And when leaders adopt a coaching mindset, several things happen: Conflicts are handled differently. Instead of imposing solutions, leaders draw out perspectives and create shared ownership. Change feels safer. When leaders coach, they don’t just announce change; they guide people through their fears and hopes. Teams become more resilient. Coaching leaders build confidence in others, so people don’t just depend on the leader – they learn to navigate challenges themselves. Leaders as coaches don’t push or dictate; they walk alongside, modelling steadiness while allowing others to discover their own strength. For leaders considering the path of becoming coaches formally, it’s more than a professional skill. It’s a way of deepening their own leadership journey while contributing to the growth of others. It’s also a way of leaving behind something more enduring than results – the capacity in people to lead themselves. A Reflection for You Think about a conflict you’ve observed recently – in your workplace or elsewhere. Was it really about the issue on the table, or about something deeper: recognition, security, or belonging? Now think about a change you’ve been part of. Did it feel imposed, or did it feel co-created? How did the leader’s approach shape your own response? Finally, ask yourself: as a leader, how often do you show up with answers, and how often do you show up with questions? That simple reflection can be the beginning of your own journey towards leading like a coach with the help of Executive Coaching and becoming a credentialed coach. With our Executive Coaching services , we’ve seen leaders transform – not just their teams, but their own way of seeing the world. Start your journey today.
