What is at the core of all issues faced by our banks? PSB & some private banks too? Many of them. BFSI?
- Mere capitalization is not enough. It is ‘band-aid’ approach. Taxpayers’ money is not perpetually available to support our banking system (also other businesses like Air India)
- Leadership ‘changes (‘comprehensive reshuffle of top executives’!) at banks alone will not be enough. Band-aid yet again.
- Is RBI or Finance Ministry capable or the right people to handle HR issues at the highest level?
- Govt has always been part of the problem
At the core of all issues is #leadership. Of course banks, but also leadership at Govt, Govt agencies, Central bank… The choice is between a transactional #bandaid Vs. Transformational Shift
